Judo is the art of projecting the opponent or to use the strength of the other wisely 
         
   In Japan, there are 4 types of judo :       
     
  • the KODOKAN judo
 
 
 
  • the KANSAI judo (and therefore that of Kyoto)
   
 
  • the police judo
   
 
  • the Kosen Judo university that favours ground work

Kitō-ryū

Kito-Ryu is one of the ancestors of judo. The practice is done around a kata.

The techniques were designed to deal with an opponent in armor.

 

 

The teacher in Japan is INOUE Shouji.
